Helder Guta is a Hydraulic and Civil Engineer from Mozambique with over 10 years of professional experience and a PhD in Sediment Transport Mechanics. He works at Artelia (France), focusing on reservoir sedimentation for new dams, mainly in Africa,and physical modeling of complex sediment transport. He collaborates on research with Grenoble INP and is actively involved in technical organizations, including the Mozambican Commission of Dams and the ICOLD Committee on Reservoir Sedimentation. Helder is passionate about advancing sustainable dam development in the Global South, where most water infrastructure is being built.
