Qigui Yang, a National Engineering Survey and Design Master, is the Chief Scientist of Changjiang Survey, Planning, Design and Research Co., Ltd.. He has long been dedicated to the design of earth-rock dams and geotechnical engineering, as well as research on risk assessment and emergency disposal technologies for barrier lakes. He pioneered the deformation coordination control theory for high face rockfill dams and established a seepage safety control technology system. Additionally, he developed risk assessment methods for barrier lakes and constructed an emergency disposal technology framework. His research achievements have earned him two National Science and Technology Progress Awards.
