Stefan EHLERS holds a M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany (Dipl.-Ing. TU). He has twenty-five years of experience in the study, planning, design and safety evaluation of dams, hydropower plants and hydraulic structures. He has gained international experience on numerous large dam and hydropower projects in many parts of the world. One of his specialties is the analysis and safety evaluation of embankment dams. Stefan EHLERS is Head of the Dam Engineering Section at AFRY Switzerland, and member of the Technical Commission of the Swiss Committee on Dams.
