Professor Jianyun Zhang is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a foreign member of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the United Kingdom. He is the director of the Climate Change Research Center of the Ministry of Water Resources, the president of the Yangtze Institute for Conservation and Development, the director of the Expert Committee of the South-to-North Water Transfer Project. Professor Zhang has made groundbreaking contributions to areas such as watershed hydrological models, flood forecasting, design storm and design flood, as well as the pioneering development of climate change assessment models.
