Yong Cho is a head researcher at K-water Institute in Korea Water Resources Corporation. He received a bachelor's and master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Korea University, and received a phD's degree in Thermal and Fluid Dynamics at Korea University. He had researched for fluid dynamics and aero-acoustics by developing high-order CFD and CAA codes at Korea University and Penn State University. Currently, he is conducting researches on hydro turbines by performing both model-sccale tests and on-site field tests, and on a hydrothermal energy system with a river water-source heat pump.
