Ms Janice (Chencen) Zhang is a professionally registered Senior Civil Engineer with a decade of postgraduate experience in the Dams and Hydropower Industry. She works in the design and optimisation of embankment and concrete dams, with a strong focus on hydropower development. Her experience includes the planning, design, and optimisation of hydropower schemes—both run-of-river and storage systems—including scheme layout, hydraulic structures, and comprehensive financial and technical analysis.

She is an also active member of the Management Committee for the South African National Committee on Large Dams (SANCOLD)
