Shengshan Guo holds a doctor degree in hydraulic structure. He has been working in China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research (IWHR) since 2013 and currently serves as the deputy director of Earthquake Engineering Research Center (EERC). Research interests focus on the seismic safety study of concrete dams and reinforced concrete hydraulic structures. He has many years of experience in developing numerical simulation software for seismic response of concrete dams. He has extensive experience in seismic safety evaluation of concrete dams and has completed engineering consulting of more than 30 concrete dams in China and abroad.
