Wang Zhenfan is a senior engineer (professorial level). Currently, he serves as a member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the Yellow River Water and Hydropower Development Group Co., Ltd. Additionally, he holds several key positions, including Executive Director of the Chinese National Committee on Large Dams (CHINCOLD), Member of the Water Project Management Committee of the China Water Engineering Association, Vice Chair of the Reservoir Ecological Dredging and Resource Utilization Committee of the China Dredging Association.
With extensive experience in water and hydropower project construction and management, he has participated in the development of several major projects, such as Xiaolangdi Multipurpose Dam Project (Yellow River), Yellow River Crossing Project of the South-to-North Water Diversion Middle Route,Baise Water Control Project (Youjiang River, Guangxi, China), Zipingpu Water Control Project (Sichuan, China), Nierji Water Control Project (Nenjiang River), and Lhalu Water Control and Irrigation Project (Tibet, China).
At present, he leads key initiatives, including standardized operation and management of the Xiaolangdi Project, digital twin development for the Xiaolangdi Project, modernized reservoir operation management matrix construction, and over major science and technology projects of the Ministry of Water Resources"Study on Key Measures to Mitigate Sediment Deposition in Xiaolangdi and Xixiayuan Reservoirs".
