LU Jinyou, a senior engineer and doctoral supervisor, is the former president of the Changjiang River Scientific Research Institute. He is a member of the Science and Technology Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources of China (MWR), an expert of the Sediment Expert Group of the Three Gorges Project of the MWR, the executive council member of the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society and the vice director of the Sediment Committee of the Society, and the vice president of the Changjiang Technology and Economic Society. He enjoys the special government allowance of the State Council.
