Li Qingbin, Professor at Tsinghua University, focuses on dam performance and intelligent construction. He developed a concrete strength theory under complex loading and pioneered intelligent dam construction technologies, addressing key challenges in temperature control and crack prevention. He proposed a field research model and applied intelligent construction to 300-meter-level arch dams such as Xiluodu, Baihetan, and Wudongde. He has published over 300 papers, authored 3 monographs, and holds 30+ invention patents. He is Director of the State Key Laboratory of Hydroscience and Engineering and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hydroelectric Engineering.
