Devendra Kumar Sharma is former VP of ICOLD,  past Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Group and President of INCOLD for two terms 2018 to 2022. He is Co-Chairman of the Committee for formulation of World Declaration on Role of Dams in Energy Transition and Climate Change.  

He is Chairman of Electricity Regulatory Commission, Chairman of the National Working Group on Hydropower and PSPs and Chairman of Undergrond v/s Deep Seated Power House in PSPs. He has 43 years of rich experience in dams and energy sectors.

He has received 9 national awards and has more than 50 publications.
