In 2003 graduated from the State University of Management with a degree in Management in metallurgical enterprises.

In 2014 received an MBA at Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration with major in Government Relations.

From 1998 to 2013 he held senior positions at subsidiaries of OJSC Severstal, State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and Inter RAO UES Group.

In 2014 Sergey joined RusHydro Group as Director for Project Engineering and Foreign Economic Affairs of JSC Institute Hydroproject.
